Oluwaseun Sonoiki is the Corporate Legal Secretary at the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA). She joined LAMATA in 2013 as Legal Counsel. She contributes to the development of legal strategies that enable the necessary resource consents for implementation of LAMATA’s capital projects and advises LAMATA on all matters relevant to its operation, particularly land transport related acts, regulations, rules and state sector related legislation.
She specialises in Corporate Transactional Law and began her career in 2004 at Kanu Agabi & Associates Chambers as a legal practitioner. She has worked extensively in matters involving contracts, representation of clients in contentious and non–contentious matters, land law, conveyances, commercial contracts, legal research and legal drafting.
She has attended various academic and professional programmes and is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Law Society, England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN).
She earned her LL.B in 2003 from Ogun State University and her B.L in 2004 from Nigerian Law School Abuja when she was called to the Nigerian Bar as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She was admitted as Solicitor of England and Wales in 2009 and inducted as Chartered Secretary in 2016 from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria.
