Agence Française de Développement (AFD) has expressed satisfaction with the progress of transport interchange projects in Lagos, funded by the Lagos State government and the AFD.
A team led by Country Director Xavier Muron recently conducted an on the spot assessment of the two interchange hub projects at Marina and Mile 2, giving new project lead, Ms. Anne Chaussavoine a firsthand look at the advancements in Lagos’ transport infrastructure.
Ms. Chaussavoine expressed optimism about the project’s progress and its potential to positively impact the lives of Lagos residents.
Outgoing team lead David Margonsztern, also lauded the project’s progress, stating his intention to return and witness the realization of the envisioned integrated multimodal transport system.
The ambitious project aims to connect all modes of transport – road, rail, water, and non-motorized – into a single, unified transportation network for Lagos.
Other members of the AFD team present during the tour included Project Manager Alexander Loret and Project Officer Zach Clarke.
